I love this office, everyone is so nice!!! 10/10 recommend these folks to clean and take care of your chompers! From dental implant care to cleanings, they take such good care of me. And they even sung happy birthday to me one year! My cleaning today was so thorough, my teeth feel squeaky clean! I drive an hour to this office because they’re THAT good. Everyone in the office is so skilled and love what they do. You never feel like “just another patient”. I am a dental challenge for anyone!!! Dr. Haselton and every single person in that office are fabulous!!!!! I love everyone!! Some of this wonderful staff go all the way back to Dr. Ann Adams day!! Carla is absolutely fabulous always!! She gives me emotional support and is always welcoming. Jane is the very best dental hygienist that I have ever had (and I have had a lot!!!) Denise is the very best. Always has that warm "security" blanket for me. And Ann Adams left me the hands of the very best dentist ever. I hated to lose Ann, but love, love Debra Haselton!!! I have had problems with my teeth off and on for most of my life. It is rare to find a non-judgemental dentist who is compassionate and understanding. The care I received from Dr Haselton and all her staff was all the above as well as professional. I do not know what I would do without Dr. Haselton. I have had a couple of challenging years. I had to have the crown part of my implants replaced. The temporary crowns looked better than my real teeth looked when I was much younger. Debra's staff is always professional but personal, her facility is spotless but welcoming. Debra is a perfectionist, admired by her peers, loved at the dental school at MCV. She is gentle, teaches dental health as she is treating you, explains what she is going to do and gives her patients time and information to make good decisions. I had a dental hygiene visit which was on time, done efficiently with a very nice, professional and thorough hygienist. Dr Haselton then reviewed the hygienist’s notes and very skillfully checked on areas that were questionable. Dr Haselton is the consummate dental practitioner. She has wonderful chairside manners, is very thorough, talks over your needs in a way I understand. She the referral doc from many dentists . Her procedures to minimize Covid9 is exceptional. Best dentist I have ever been with. The community thinks so to with her voted a “best dentist” recently.

Dr Haselton and her assistants were absolutely amazing. I have always been pleased with their service and thought them to be friendly and highly professional, but they surpassed that today. This was my first medical appt of any sort since Corona Virus has struck. I was quite anxious, but truly felt I should keep my appt. I shouldn’t have bothered worrying. They have a perfect system in place to block any sort of contagion within the office. I was whisked in after letting them know I had arrived and then easily walked through a simple but thorough protocol. I honestly felt safer there than in my own home and I have been super vigilant. Way to go Team Haselton! Brava

Dr. Haselton provides excellent, professional dental care. I have just started seeing her after many years with another practice and this is the best dental care I have ever received. She is knowledgeable and explains treatment option very thoroughly. She repaired chips in my front teeth and they look better than new! Her staff are friendly and put you at ease. The procedures that are in place at the office due to COVID were through and made me feel very safe and secure.

Today was normal cleaning and bitewing day. Dr. Haselton was interested in #29, in particular because of something remarkable enough in my previous bitewing to warrant a comparison. Sure enough, after the "snowball" test, #29 was determined to be fully calcified. And I thought it was simply a discoloration of the enamel. She was also interested in the molar behind #29. Similar testing showed it to be normal for now. She will get a second opinion from an endodontal colleague and call me if there's further concern. And, after a thorough varnishing, I was sent home with a good report card. Thank you to all for caring!

All my life (40s), I’ve been imagining a “good” dentist and always felt I was getting “ok” dentists/service. I gave up and thought it was just my high expectations. Once I found Dr. Haselton, I realized she was what I’ve been wanting all along...She is great! She explains a lot without me needing to ask, and I feel like I understand my teeth/gums better (previous dentists didn’t give me enough insight when I asked about things). I’ve had cleanings, exams, and fillings...Her work and that of her hygenist are top quality, and I feel like I have the best care possible. I wish everyone had the privilege of a dentist’s office like this. I skip the insured dentistry in the country where I currently live and still come here. It’s costly but worth it to me.

My most recent visit was for routine cleaning as well as X rays, but I have had many dental procedures in the past. Because of sensitivity and staining, the cleaning process could have been painful, but a desensitizing rinse prevented the problem. My hygienist did everything possible to keep me comfortable, even rolling a blanket to help support my back in the chair. She did an excellent and thorough job and I was happy to see much whiter teeth once she had finished. The whole team of receptionist, hygienist , and dentist made what is traditionally a miserable experience into friendly conversations with friends. It is a very comfortable atmosphere. Also, the whole office is noticeably spotlessly clean!

Dr. Haselton and her staff are some of the most professional health care providers in Richmond! On my last visit when I asked for a new mouth guard, Dr. Haselton stayed late with her staff for the fitting so I would not have to return for another visit. When I went to pick it up, I put the wrong day in my calendar but she "added me in" the schedule! She and her staff work together seamlessly and make sure the patients are treated as valued customers. In addition, the dental services are high quality and she makes sure that perfection is the norm! If you want a concierge dental experience, this is the office for you!

Whenever you go to RCAD, you will receive the highest level of care and can rest assured any issues will be addressed with that same level of care. I understand that quality care does not come cheap and am willing to pay a little more. My most recent visit with RCAD was for Dr. Haselton to review some issues raised by her assistant when she was out of the office. On the scheduled date of my six month checkup, Dr. Haselton was going to be out of the office. I was given the option to reschedule or see her assistant. I was fine with seeing the assistant. However, I was not prepared to pay an additional fee for this review after having paid for the services on my scheduled date. Had I known, I would have rescheduled the appointment. This was by first visit to Dr. Hazelton's. She explained what would be done. Since this was my first visit, my teeth were X-rayed and previous dental work charted to establish a base for future dental work. A complete examination of my teeth was then performed. This was all performed professionally. I was comfortable during the complete process, and came away confident that I receive quality service.

At 73 yrs of age, I have been to a great number of dentists in a great number of states. None have measured up to the standards that have been set by Dr. Haselton. She is very skilled in her profession. She is enthusiastic, warm, and has a genuine concern for her patients, all of which is reflected in her very capable staff. Dr Haselton and her entire staff are among the very best in Richmond. Carla, the office manager is always able to find slots for emergency care and is immensely helpful with coordinating and scheduling care with other specialists and coordinating insurance. She is always so pleasant on the phone and in person. Denise , the dental assistant is also wonderful with her attention to detail , gentleness with x rays and is professional in every way Dr. Hazelton is the consummate professional! Her academic credentials are stellar, her chairside manner is beautiful ; very engaged and explains everything well and has a very gentle examination technique. I couldn’t be happier with the care provided by Dr Haselton and her entire staff. Also, the dental hygienist whose name escapes me at the moment is very gentle and thorough with her cleanings. Of further note, there is a large emphasis placed on education of the patients which I really appreciate.

Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts. Yes, high quality dental care can be *perceived* as expensive. We do try to be very thorough, utilize the best materials and dental laboratories, employ well trained staff, and adhere to the best safety and patient care protocols. High quality dental care can be expensive however there are many costs in providing high quality dental care of which most patients/consumers may not be aware. We trust that most of our patients feel they deserve the excellent care which we strive to provide, and they value the training, skills and materials that go into the services we offer.

Dr Haselton is fantastic. She took over from my dentist of 20 years and didnt skip a beat. And now that I am moving, she is trying to Help me find a dentist in the Northern Neck. The staff is incredibly awesome and it means a lot when they know you and your family. We will miss them.

Dr. Haselton and her staff were so sweet and accommodating to my mother who has Lewy Body Dementia. They were able to make adjustments to her dentures so that Mom could eat more easily and smile her beautiful smile, even though she understood nothing that was happening to her. They worked on Mom while in her wheelchair which was much less disruptive and confusing for Mom. The staff were all friendly, considerate, and solicitous throughout. The receptionist is exceptional with much care and concern and intelligence evident with every interaction. Dr. Haselton even wheeled Mom outside in her wheelchair after the appointment to await transportation. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you all!

I was in the office for a small surgical procedure and I feel that it could not have gone any better. I was taken in promptly, greeted warmly and the numbing process was done in such a specific manner that did not leave my whole face immobilized. As a matter of fact, there was no numbness anywhere except on the small area of my gum that was targeted. I am highly satisfied with everything at RCAD and the offices are beautiful and soothing. If I had just one tiny complaint it would be that their new electronic process of reminders and confirmations sends out messages almost to the point of overkill. I do appreciate the timely reminder, though. This is a small point, however, and I do appreciate their efforts to do everything right.

Of all my experiences with dental work, I must say this has been a wonderful experience. Dr. Haselton and all of the members in the office are just the best! Her attention to detail and taking the time to explain to me everything I would want to know about my dental work made me comfortable and happy to be there. Compassionate dentists who know most people don't like to get dental work and treat you with that in mind, are highly sought after. Add to that Dr. Haselton is an expert at her craft, and I don't know why anyone would go elsewhere. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

I have had dental issues for many, many years. I was so very impressed with the staff and doctor. They were very professional in such a warm, pleasant way. I found Dr. Haselton to be so knowledgeable, caring and approachable. She is attentive to every detail. I love going to the dentist at Dr. Haselton's office because of her wonderful staff and professional but beautiful office. More importantly, I have never been to a dentist that provided such quality service. She is a perfectionist, up to date on the latest techniques, gentle and caring. She emphasizes preventative care and gives complete and thorough explanations of any work that needs to be done. She is respected by her peers and for years taught dentists in the MCV graduate school of dentistry. She is a jewel in her profession. I feel fortunate to know her and to have my dental needs met beautifully and painlessly.

This was my first visit and it was a cleaning, exam and related services. It was more than I expected - in a good way - and I learned some things about my dental health and maintenance that I did not know. Tina did a great job on my xrays, cleaning and charting and explaining additional care. Dr Hasleton was thorough and professional in her exam and feedback to me. Carla took care of my paperwork and billing quickly and professionally. Only suggestion would be to put forms on the website - would have had them completed when I showed up for my appt.

I really was so impressed by how detailed,open & honest Dr. Hazelton was about my cracked crown situation & the problems I have with tooth #4. She is the first dentist ever to give me the costs up front & so many options. So refreshing from the past "we are going to do this..." or "you must do this". Dr. Haselton and her staff are wonderful people and provide excellent dental care to me and my family. It may sound strange, but I actually enjoy our semi-annual visits. Carla makes us feel welcome as soon as we come in the door, the hygienist cleans our teeth with a gentle touch and is a great educator, and Dr. Haselton does a thorough check and insures that we all stay orally healthy. This morning's office visit was, as always, a pleasant, professional, and very satisfying experience. My dental hygienist Tina was excellent, pleasant, informative, and very skilled. Dr. Haselton, while not needing to spend a lot of time with me this visit (for a teeth cleaning and x-rays), has consistently been very capable, professional, thoughtful, concerned about my views, and made me feel an important part of a team devoted to my dental health care.
